On behalf of the Israel Magen Fund of Canada and ZAKA Search and Rescue, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in our recent event series featuring Yossi Landau, Head of Operations for the Southern Command of ZAKA.
With 33 years of volunteer service and invaluable experience in local and international disaster response, Yossi Landau shared compelling narratives and insights from his time at ZAKA. His presentations, centered around "A Journey with Zaka in the Aftermath of October 7," provided a deep dive into the critical and heroic work of ZAKA following significant crises, including the Surfside collapse and the events of 9/11.
The discussions illuminated the complex and compassionate operations carried out by ZAKA, highlighting their commitment to saving lives and ensuring dignified burials for victims. Yossi's detailed recounting of these missions drew us closer to the harsh realities faced during such tragedies and the profound impact of humanitarian efforts.
We are proud to have facilitated these enlightening sessions, which have educated and inspired us all. It was incredibly rewarding to see so many community members come together, eager to learn about and support the essential work of ZAKA.
Thank you again for your participation and support. Your involvement ensures that the legacy of those we have lost is honored and that the brave work of organizations like ZAKA is continually recognized and supported.
We hope to see you at future events and continue to build a community of support and awareness around not only ZAKA's missions but all projects supported by the Israel Magen Fund of Canada.
