Providing Hope and
Courage in Times of Crisis

A beacon of hope and unwavering courage shines in the heart of a crisis and catastrophe.

The Israel Magen Fund of Canada provides life-saving search and rescue services and compassionate care during crises, bolstering emergency response and strengthening community resilience across Israel.

In collaboration with:

ZAKA Search & Rescue

Founded in 1995, ZAKA is Israel's leading
non-governmental rescue and recovery organization.

With a 5,000-strong volunteer force, it responds to crises 24/7, embodying resilience, compassion, and selflessness. Whether in the aftermath of terror attacks or natural disasters, ZAKA's mission—"To save those who can be saved and honour what remains"—is more than a motto; it is its sacred commitment.

Their volunteers come from diverse backgrounds and are united by a shared purpose. Their expertise spans specialized units—from K9 teams to jet-ski responders—ensuring rapid, professional action across all terrains. However, what truly defines ZAKA is the spirit of volunteerism, which bridges societal divides and showcases the power of unity.

The Urgency of Now

IMFoC is collaborating with ZAKA Search & Rescue to provide critical emergency services in Israel.

As one of Israel’s leading search and rescue organizations, ZAKA faces growing challenges due to its aging fleet of emergency response vehicles. To maintain the continuity of these vital services, IMFoC is supporting ZAKA in delivering emergency relief to victims, enhancing their ability to save lives and provide crucial assistance during emergencies.

ZAKA volunteers are on the front lines, responding to crises and disasters. However, outdated vehicles compromise their ability to perform this vital work. By supporting IMFoC’s initiative, you enable the organization to address these critical gaps and ensure ZAKA’s volunteers have the tools they need to respond effectively.

Our Critical Need

To save lives and enhance community health, we rely on publicly accessible search and rescue equipment and services. Your generous support will help us acquire the critical tools and resources needed to fulfill this vital mission:

  • 7 WD4 Rescue Vehicles for swift evacuations.

  • 17 Fully equipped ambulances designed for rescuing victims, saving lives, and providing urgent medical care.

  • 25 Emergency motorcycles, enabling faster navigation for those in immediate need.

The total cost of this project is $4,449,000. Through your support, IMFoC aims to provide emergency services and meet the needs of communities in crisis.
